Most exciting weekend

omigosh omigosh oh-my-gosh.

I know, I know, it may seem silly to get so excited about some hobbies. But this weekend is really going to be something out of this world. I am going to be standing in line with some hundred million other people, waiting to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the last first time. (Last time we won't know how it ends!) What a historical moment. The history of literature has never had such a moment before. Amazing.

And if that's not enough, I will be seeing my favorite musician in the world - Tori Amos - live here in Israel on Saturday night! I've never seen her before, although I was all booked for Amsterdam this June but stupid Delta caused me to be 24 hours late so I missed the whole thing. But this time it's for real! Third row seats, I just can't wait!

With so much excitement it's amazing I'm not bouncing off the chair. I'm rereading the previous Harry Potters back-to-back and starting tomorrow will put Tori CDs back-to-back while working as well. Just can't wait! (Except I can, and will!)

Took a vacation day on Sunday (here in Israel we work Sunday and have Friday off). I want to make absolutely sure that I get a chance to finish DH. Plus I'll be tired from potentially sleepless nights!

I'll let you know how it goes...

I can't jump up and down with you over Potter, but I'm super excited you get to see Tori Amos at last!!

Never got around to mentioning it, but hobby-wise this was definitely the most amazing weekend possible, and I'd even go so far as saying one of the most exciting in my life.
Tori was great, DH was great, the combination was jaw-dropping. reading DH while waiting for Tori to come onstage... getting her signature on my CD while others were having her sign DH... it was all so great. The book sale was superfun, and the show itself was, well, for lack of other word, spectacular. I melted, I swear.
